iPhone 4 S
So what’s the buzz on the iPhone 4S? It is Siri; the virtual assistant. Apple’s web page says Siri, “Your wish is its command.” It’s quite amazing and a bit like Star Trek. You give Siri verbal questions and you receive logical answers back. I thought I would never see this in my lifetime and what is amazing is that it is in a small electronic device. It answers all of your questions in real time, and will take verbal dictation; you can text without touching the keypad. Like I said it is just amazing!
You can clearly see the future with Siri. The holy grail of computing has always been the ability to talk to you computer and for it to understand what you say and answer your questions or requests. However it never really seemed to work before now.
Siri will do many things for you like sending emails, text messages and schedule meetings. You can really see the future of computing with this device.
Typing on the iPhone has always been slightly frustrating. One of the problems is not having a real keyboard. However, with Siri it’s no longer a problem because you can now just talk and see the words appear on the screen! No more auto spelling and changing your words. You do have to make sure that you pronounce your words very clearly, but overall, Siri works flawlessly. When you watch the Apple promo video you know that you are looking a promo but it still blows my mind.
Chris Guthrie Make Money on the Internet
http://www.makemoneyontheinternet.com
Chris is one of these Internet online marketing guys that says he can show you how you can make money on the Internet. I normally hate these types of people as so often they are taking money from quite desperate people who are slightly naive when it comes to the Internet. However, unlike a lot of these types of individuals, Chris seems to give quite a bit of useful info connected to what takes to make money from any type of website.
A successful website is no different from any business; it takes long hours before you will make any money. Often people make a lot of mistakes. One of the nice things about Chris is that he is quite honest in talking about his past mistakes.
He offers free and fee based courses. With the free course you have to give him your email address, however he does not seem to spam the life out of the people who do, so I would give it a go and see it. It is quite educational. http://www.makemoneyontheinternet.com/free-10-day-course/
Basically the reason why I’m interested in the free course is most of the info he gives is very similar to what I been telling my clients for the past 2 years! This is in someway quite reassuring to me. Lesson 7, How to produce and write content fro you website is very enlightening, I personally wish all my client would read the post and watch the video that comes with it. He methods, which he uses when it comes to keyword research, are basically the same methods that I use myself.
Most of the websites on the internet and their written materials are basically produced by guys like Chris, and most of the written content of these websites are made up of cheap and horrible stuff. This is why it is important to work with a local web designer who knows not only your business but knows who your competitors too.
Steve Jobs
I feel I should say something about the death of Steve Jobs. What an amazing life. Steve seems to have done more in one lifetime then what I could do in 10. He was a mixture of iron will and an ability to see clearly what could work in computer technology. With his two original Apple partners, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne, he completely changed the personal computer industry. He was at the right place at the right time.
What made Steve so special was his development of Pixar and his return to Apple. Not many individuals develop multiple successful companies and are able to go back to their original starter company and take control of it again and make it one of the biggest businesses in the world.
All you can say for sure is that there will never be another Steve Jobs, at least not in our lifetime. I can’t help but wonder what else he would have achieved had he lived longer? R.I.P Steve, you deserve it.
