Carson City Downtown Business Association

Challenges:

Carson City Downtown Business Association (CCDBA) is a non-profit organization to promote the Carson City downtown business community. Carson City’s downtown area is an interesting place with a western feel and lots of independent retailers.

However, many Northern Nevada residents and visitors were not aware of how pleasant and safe for families the Carson City’s downtown area is for everyone. You can be walking around this area enjoying the great nightlife, during the weekend and feel completely safe. The CCDBA runs a very popular and successful monthly wine walk (first Saturday of the month) to promote the downtown area. The association wanted to promote the wine walk so it becomes even more popular and attracts more people from outside Carson City.

Solution:

Digital Delirium was chosen to help the association to build a new website that would be a resource for the Carson City community and be able to promote the CCDBA’s monthly wine walk. Digital Delirium developed a website using WordPress a powerful and very popular CMS (contact management system.)

This CMS will allow the association to update the website easily. In addition, Digital Delirium has a developed a powerful email newsletter system using the popular online service MailChimp.

Results:

CCDBA is very happy with the powerful and easy to maintain online presence and e-newsletter system. Both the website and association newsletter help promote the CCDBA’s wine walk, member retailers and other events.

SafetyLEDs.com

Challenges:

TheLEDLight.com, a leading national provider of LED lighting and other LED technologies, was looking to develop a separate e-commerce presence to promote LED light’s safety products and solutions. In doing so, there were several challenges that needed to be resolved.

They wanted to host the e-commerce information with as their existing site.

The e-commerce process also needed separate sales tax rates for all the counties in Nevada - something that most shopping carts do not provide.

Because they had over 100 products, the company needed to divide the products into categories to make it easy for their customers to find what they needed.

They also wanted a fully custom look to promote their new brand – instead of (just) adding their logo to a template that many other companies were using.

Solutions:

Digital Delirium selected e-commerce Templates for the shopping cart solution.

This shopping cart was hosted on the client’s own server system and had built-in functionality that assigned products to categories.

The taxation issue was a bigger challenge yet was resolved through custom coding by Digital Delirium.

As for an exclusive design, we looked at a variety of existing websites to form the basis of the custom design;  Digital Delirium then created a fully-customized brand and web presence for SafetyLED.com.

Results:

The site is live, fully functional and has met all the customers’ requirements and expectations.

HabitBreaker

Problem:

Habitbreaker started in the 1970s and enjoys a steady referral business plus consistent media attention. But their current website generated very few sales for the company.

Solution:

Digital Delirium determined the poor performance was caused by poor design from a search engine optimization (SEO) perspective and relatively static content. We completely redesigned the site to make it both search engine friendly. And put the site in a content management system (CMS) so the site owners can update the website frequently and keep the content fresh. We also worked with the owners to create a clear action plan for driving traffic to the newly redesigned website.

Client Comments:

“We know that with Digital Delirium’s help, we have a successful online presence. We know what we have to do to drive traffic to our website. It’s just a shame that we didn’t get Digital Delirium involved a couple of years sooner.” Lisa Stapleton, Co-owner HabitBreaker

Sierra Enterprises

Problem:

Sierra Enterprises is a leading supplier of spare parts to the Point of Sales repair and resale industry in North America. The owner Bob wanted an easy and convenient way for customers to buy parts. But Bob had two major concerns: upsetting his established resellers by putting his catalog online. And preventing customers from ordering out of stock items or purchasing more than was on hand since fast delivery is critical in his business.

Solution:

Digital Delirium researched a number of shopping cart systems that could be adapted to meet the special requirements of Sierra Enterprises. Then we allowed the site visitor to see the range of products offered, but kept the wholesale prices hidden. For those who wanted to see prices, they filled out an online application. The application was emailed to Bob and select managers who reviewed the applications. If approved, these individuals and companies are emailed a username and password, which allows them to see the product prices and buy online. The shopping cart chosen also contained an easy backend system allowing Bob and his team to administrate and add new products to the website in real time.

Client Comments:

“The website has been up and running for over 9 months and has been very successful and easy to update and maintain. Digital Delirium helped me avoid the concerns I had and avoid pitfalls I hadn’t even thought about. I would recommend any business that is looking for a cost effective method to increase sales to give Digital Delirium a call.” Bob Dodson, Owner

Streamline Consulting

Problem:

Streamline Consulting works with businesses to increase their profitability. They had a dated, online brochure website developed by the owner several years ago. The existing website didn’t have current client examples or the appeal needed to attract larger corporate clients in the target market. They wanted a new site quickly but within a tight budget.

Solution:

Digital Delirium redesigned the site to give it a professional, contemporary look. We integrated a content management system (CMS) so the client can easily update content to keep the site fresh. Which helps her remain higher on page rankings.

Client Comments:

“I could never have created a site like this myself. It reflects the image I want for my company. To help us manage the costs, I wrote the first draft of the content, then their copywriter edited it to make it suitable for the web and to drive sales. As for the speed, Digital Delirium had the graphics and framework ready before I had the draft of the written content done. Once I did my part, the site was live in a matter of days.” Eileen Webb, Owner

Your Meeting Pro

Problem:

Your Meeting Pro organizes and manages conventions for both non-profit and for profit companies in local and national venues. The owner needed to develop an online presence quickly. Some of her leading competitors had websites, which meant she was losing out on potential business.

Solution:

Digital Delirium’s system helped Your Meeting Pro identify the best site style for their needs, target their message and get their website up in just a few weeks.

Client Comments:

“Digital Delirium pulled out all the stops to meet my tight deadlines. They even had a copywriter who interviewed me since I wasn’t able to take time away from running my business to write about it. Now my prospects can find me and the website tells them they can trust Your Meeting Pro to take care of their meeting or conference.” Laura C. Bohannon, CMP, CMM, Owner
